Podcast Launch - Communities of Character
“Intelligence plus character. That is the true goal of education.” - Martin Luther King, Jr.
In partnership between The Hope Institute and Samford University’s Orlean Bullard Beeson School of Education, the Communities of Character podcast was created, with the first episode launching in January of 2022.
The Communities of Character podcast agrees with Martin Luther King, Jr., and seeks to spark conversations and tackle the big ideas and important questions related to character and character development.
The podcast is hosted by Jennifer Hogan, a former high school teacher, coach, and administrator. She has a passion for connecting with educators and others who are committed to fostering a culture of character where they work and live.
“Our goal is to support character development in educational communities by providing our listeners with inspiration and practical tools for building character in students and organizations.” - Jennifer Hogan
Guests on the podcast will include thought leaders, researchers, experts, and practitioners who are passionate about character and its impact in their vocations and lives. The first series will examine the 11 Principles Framework from Character.org and interview school leaders whose school cultures strongly reflect a specific principle from the Framework.
The podcast will release episodes monthly, and you can listen and follow/subscribe on several platforms.
