Hope Leadership Academy Year 1

Year 1 of The Hope Leadership Academy is intensive training for your school team.

✓ Four full day sessions with experienced facilitators in the field of character education

✓ One administrator session

✓ One site visit to a school that successfully implements character education

✓ Collaboration time for school teams

✓ Starter library of character books and access to digital resources

✓ Peer networking with teams

✓ Individualized consulting

✓ Collaboration on focused character goal setting

✓ PLU or PD clock hours awarded for completion of all sessions

$5000 for a team of four
additional per person fee for more team members


In 2024-2025, Year 1 will be offered at three sites:

Birmingham @ The Vestavia Hills Civic Center [BIRMINGHAM REGISTRATION IS CLOSED]

Mobile @ University of South Alabama

Troy @ Troy University [TROY REGISTRATION IS CLOSED]

Each school team will consist of 4 team members. At least one team member should be a school administrator. In the options below, you are able to add up to 2 additional team members for an additional fee. If you would like more than 6 team members, please register for two separate teams.

You will be contacted before the first session to designate the team members from your school. The team members should remain the same throughout all sessions. We will not be able to accommodate switching team members.

Culture of Character Summit 2022 (K-12+)

 
 

The Culture of Character Summit is a full day of inspiration and learning about character education and school culture presented jointly by The Hope Institute and Samford University’s Orlean Beeson School of Education. In its first two years, this event attracted attendees from eight states, including over 300 educators from the K-12 and university levels.

In 2022, keynote addresses and breakout sessions will address SEL and character, character-based research and best character practices in K-12 schools. Participants will choose from a varied selection of breakout sessions to attend.

Please join us (virtually!) for a morning of inspiration and learning about character education and school culture on Monday, June 7th from 9:00am to noon Central time.

Award winning teacher, author and speaker, Hal Urban (bio), will offer a keynote titled “Positive Words, Powerful Results: Simple Ways to Honor, Affirm and Celebrate Life” to kick off the second annual Summit. Participants will then choose from a selection of breakout sessions to attend. Presentations will include best practices and the latest character-based research. Educators and administrators can attend to begin or continue the journey of integrating character education in their school and make connections with other school leaders pursuing the same goal. All are welcome!
